For the second season in a row, the George Jenkins Boys Track Team left no doubt who the best program is in the city of Lakeland as they dominated the competition, easily taking home the team championship with a total of 228.5 points. The Eagles bested second place Victory Christian by 106.5 points.
Bringing home individual championships for the Eagles were Tyson Williams (110MH), Terrance Denson (200), Harley Lauscar (400), Brady Zimmerman (800), Damarcus Sneed (300MH), and Jordan Domineck (Discus). Also taking 1st place was the 4×800 team consisting of Brendan Moore, Johnnie Salter, James Ko, and Andrew Guerrero.
The Eagles also got 2nd place finishes from Nate Ashley (LJ), Ryan Gutierrez (Discus), Riley Ott (PV), Jaden Rudolph (200), Damarcus Sneed (110MH), Seth Brickhouse (800), and Tyson Williams (400).
The Eagles will continue this Saturday at the Kowboy Invitational at Kissimmee Osceola High School, one of the most competitive track meets in all of Florida, as they take on more than 35 teams from across Florida, as well as two teams from Georgia and one from Pennsylvania.
