Girls Varsity Cross Country · Sentner Finishes 8th in 4A

TALLAHASSEE — George Jenkins sophomore Anna Sentner took eighth in the 4A girls race in 18:42.37. It was an improvement from her freshman year when she ran 19:10.32 and finished 19th.

“I’m definitely happy with my place,” Sentner said. “It was my goal to get in the top 10. … I’m so thankful that I have so many people out there to push me and make me a better runner.”

Teammate Amy Frisch was 37th in 19:50.89, helping George Jenkins take 11th overall. Jenkins No. 2 runner Alicia Ruiz, who has been sick, dropped out of the race after a mile because of dehydration. With Ruiz, the Eagles likely would have finished at least sixth and challenged for fifth.
